Alan Caplan, M.A., C.C.C.

Alan CaplanAlan has had a private practice since 1986. His specialty is in anger management and conflict resolution, stress management and burnout prevention, relationship counseling, and addictions, journal work. He has had extensive training in relationship counseling, youth work, family dynamics, and anger management, First Nations issues, men’s issues, and creative arts therapy. Alan describes himself as a good listener, a kind and compassionate person who doesn’t judge, and a playful interpreter of other people’s challenges. His philosophy is:

We are here to make the most of the time allotted to us. Sometimes, when things get confusing or difficult, it is helpful to find a good listener, who won’t judge us or spread things around, and who can guide us to make sense of what our life is saying to us. – what needs to be addressed and what changes are presenting themselves. The truth often slips out without much struggle or effort when we can speak openly, play with possibilities,  and enjoy ourselves, even as we explore what’s difficult.
