Imagery is a powerful expression of the imagination. Throughout antiquity is has been used as a major source of artistic, medical and scientific creativity. Imagery is a most natural expression of the wisdom of our spirit and innate intuition. When we access our thoughts using all our senses, we can truly interface the body, mind and spirit to activate a most ancient and powerful source of healing.

Guided Imagery is a technique that is utilizes all of the body’s senses to evoke positive images. When we visualize images, sounds, smells, tastes and sensations we are using the language of the mind; our brains understand these images and they serve as a vehicle to communicate with our bodies.

The mind cannot distinguish the difference between a thought or an actual event. The body responds to the messages that the mind gives it; a good example is the proven effectiveness of placebo pills in research studies.

Imagery goes by many names:
Guided Imagery
Guided Visualization
Relaxation Technique
Stress Management Technique
Guided Meditation
Integrative Medicine
Alternative Medicine
Complementary Medicine

We use mental imagery to create desired outcomes. Below is a sampling of issues imagery can be used for:

  • Anxiety, phobias, fears and panic attacks
  • Addictions
  • Blood pressure

There is a great advantage to working with me as a certified Guided Imagery practitioner, as I skillfully guide you to your own images through structure and compassionate presence. My primary concern is respect for your process and to have you set the pace. As noted from the list above, which is not by any means comprehensive, Guided Imagery is applicable to many situations as you awaken your inner senses, and receive your heart’s message for your particular issue.
